The Opportunity

Exciting opportunity for an experienced litigator to join a forward-thinking specialist Litigation team, as part of a full service practice, and be involved in an interesting mix of dispute resolution matters. There is a genuine work/life balance in this role where you can do quality work, but not be burning the midnight oil. The firm invests in modern technology and systems to help their lawyers operate efficiently including with the ability to WFH as required. 

Working closely with an expert litigation partner, you'll be involved in a range of disputes that include property disputes, fair trading, construction, insolvency, debt recovery, commercial litigation, contractual claims, professional indemnity and negligence and trusts and estate claims. 

You will be someone who enjoys variety in a role and being immersed from start to finish on complex litigation files before the High Court, District Court or at arbitration and mediation stage. The partner you will work with will give you a good degree of autonomy to carry out your work but be there to support and bounce ideas off of. If you enjoy advocacy and court work, you'd get that here. There will be junior and admin support in the role too. 

About you:

• 7+ years' PQE in litigation (a broad mix of civil and commercial litigation experience would suit);
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to cut through issues and problem solve; and
• Experience gained in a reputable firm where you've had hands on exposure and some client management responsibilities.
