Job description

The opportunity:

Our client is a well-established Auckland CBD practice that remains consistently busy with property and commercial work and is now looking to hire a junior lawyer to be a part of their team to support a steady workflow of commercial property and commercial law matters - both transactional and advisory work involved.

Day to day you will be involved in commercial property transactions, subdivisions, commercial leasing, business transactions, company structuring, property financing matters, franchising, trusts and related matters. The firm has a strong reputation in the market for providing high-quality legal services to property developers, charitable trusts and commercial sector clients. With more than enough legal support, good systems in place and approachable partners, you’ll be well-placed to build your personal brand and develop your career under a reputable name.

You will be someone that has:
  • 1-2 years PQE solid experience in a general practice role with a property focus in your work or experience gained in a well-regarded commercial property or general commercial team;
  • Good academics - at least a B average;
  • Passionate about further developing a career in the property and commercial law field and learning from experts; and
  • Demonstrating that you're a commercial thinker that can provide pragmatic advice.
Note: this is not a graduate position and you must have been admitted to the bar in NZ to apply.

To apply or for further information, contact Pippa McCaw on 027 814 3475 or email your CV and academic record to pippa@colegal.co.nz by clicking 'APPLY' now.
