This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate-level lawyer to make the lifestyle move to Tauranga and become part of a full-service firm. The firm has a reputation for exceptional client service, which underpins its strong subregional ties. It has a long-standing presence in the Bay of Plenty area and specialist expertise.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be an integral part of their friendly and collaborative team, overseen by approachable Partners. Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Handling commercial property matters, representing landlords and property owners in commercial leasing matters.
  • Managing property transactions - residential, commercial, and rural property.
  • Property development projects. 
  • Agri business advice & transactions.
  • Facilitating business transactions, focusing on the sale and purchase of business assets and shares, with special attention to road transport, earthmoving, and contracting industries.
  • Providing expert advice on business structuring, focusing on shareholder agreements and succession planning.
About you
  • 3+ years PQE with a background in property law coupled with commercial acumen within a reputable practice.
  • NZ-qualified lawyer with good drafting and client relationship management skills; and 
  • A client-centric approach dedicated to delivering exceptional service and value.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Outstanding communication, written, and technical skills.
  • A down-to-earth, collaborative interpersonal style.
