Job description

The Opportunity:

Our client is a general practice law firm with a well established multi-generational client base across the South and East Auckland regions. They are looking to hire a senior-level lawyer with at least 4 years experience to work with a wide range of private clients as well as small-medium sized businesses. The firm operates with modern systems and has a forward thinking approach to flexibility with the opportunity for staff to do some working from home when needed.

They have invested in modern operating systems to ensure that the team has the right resources to work efficiently. The firm truly operates as a team so there aren't individual billing targets and work gets distributed fairly amongst the authors.

You will work on matters that will vary across residential and commercial property transactions, commercial leasing, subdivisions, trusts, wills, refinancing transactions, estate administration and related matters. You'll have the opportunity to work with a decent level of autonomy with the support of an experienced partner who can provide support where required.

About you:
  • 4+ years' PQE with experience across a couple of key areas (while experience in property is preferred, other areas of law aren't essential) including property, commercial, trusts / asset planning and estates.
  • Good client relationship management and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience gained in a well-regarded firm;
  • Practical skills that are just as good as your technical legal skills; and
  • NZ qualified lawyer.
You may be looking to join a modern suburban firm where you can do quality work and retain a work/life balance. Likewise you want a role closer to home where there are growth prospects as well. Either way, get in touch to find out more.
