We have partnered with a top international law firm with a presence across the globe. They are a leader in terms of the private and public deals they're involved in and, due to growth in work, they are interested in considering NZ qualified lawyers that are looking to make the move to the UK. Sponsorship will be provided and they have clients from the tech sector from Silicon Valley, leading banks, energy sector and venture capital clients - so this a role that offers a range of Corporate legal work. 

One of the key partners in the team is an Australian qualified lawyer but you'd work across a team of 26 partners, so you'd have the chance to learn from various partners. and the work they do They operate with a relatively flat structure, which enables a good level of involvement in files beyond just due diligence. You'd get client contact and the firm takes a keen interest in the development of staff with good training systems in place.

You will need:

• 3-7 years NZ PQE in the corporate / M&A space - experience gained in a specialist team or a leading law firm;
• A good university academic record;
• Commercially minded, with good interpersonal skills and an interest in being involved in some of the top transactions that are happening at the moment. 

The Associates in the team work to a billing target of 1900 hours and, above that, there is a bonus scheme in place. The firm operates in a transparent manner and you are remunerated well for the work you do. While people have been working from home in the UK, they are now moving back to the office so you'll have that collegiality with other corporate lawyers and it will be beneficial for your learning, while you also retain some ability to work from home.

The interview process will start with testing, then an interview with 2 of the Corporate partners and, if successful, a final catch up with Associates in the team to get a feel for what it's like to be in the firm and see how you'd fit in.
