Job description

As an employer of choice, the firm has state of the art central offices and a modern working culture that encourages business development and breeds success through their investment in ongoing training and professional development of staff. With a solid and varied work flow both currently underway and in the pipeline, they are now recruiting for an Associate or Senior Associate level lawyer to work independently alongside partners on key transactions.

In this role, you will see yourself involved with high-level commercial property transactions for investors, developers, multi-national businesses and individuals. The mix of industry sectors that the team works in is second to none with a track record of work in the education, energy, healthcare, infrastructure development, retail and local government sectors to name a few.

Day-to-day you would work on complex commercial property acquisitions and disposals, due diligence for development projects, commercial leasing, property finance work and overseas investment matters. You'll have mentorship in this role but with more than enough scope to take ownership of files and run them with autonomy. Culturally, the team is collaborative, and they look for those with initiative and want to do work to a high standard. Career development and work/life balance remain a priority for the partners of this firm without compromising on the quality of experience you'll gain.

About You
  • 5-10 years PQE at a reputable law firm;
  • Property experience gained in a reputable specialist team or firm with some exposure/experience in commercial property transactions is essential as part of your overall background;
  • Interest in further developing your skills with a commercial mindset; and
  • An ability to work with a decent degree of independence and autonomy.
Perhaps you are wanting to be in a commercial property role that offers greater client relationship management and autonomy over your work? Or, maybe you’re returning from overseas and would like to join a full-service firm where you can be exposed to interesting commercial property work. Either way, get in touch to find out more about this position and whether this could be a good fit for you.
