Job description

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has come up for an intermediate level (circa 2-4 year PQE) lawyer to join a forward-thinking firm with modern CBD offices. Working in a close-knit team with an approachable partner who can provide sound mentorship and other experienced lawyers and support staff in the team, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in:
  • Business transactions - both smaller and larger;
  • Shareholder agreements and company structuring matters;
  • Franchise agreements;
  • Joint ventures projects;
  • Commercial contract drafting and negotiations e.g. supply and services agreements;
  • Commercial lease negotiations;
  • Commercial construction contracts advice;
  • Business financing;
  • Private Wealth, asset and tax planning.
While the majority of the work will be in the Commercial legal space, there will be some property and associated work involved too.

The clientele ranges from household names, medium sized businesses, investors, start-up businesses, developers and high net worth individuals so there's plenty of work variety and client exposure you'd get - both large and smaller.

You will be someone that has:
  • 2+ years experience in commercial legal work. Those that have had some commercial law experience from a general practice background would be of interest too;
  • Good interpersonal and client relationship management skills as you'll have that as part of this role;
  • Commercially minded and with good written communication skills.
You may be in a team where you'd like a greater variety and steadier flow of work so that you can grow, or you may be doing a mix of property, commercial and private client work and would like to move to having a greater commercial legal focus - whichever the case, get in touch to find out if this is the opportunity for you.
