Job description

The property market continues to boom and there are a number of interesting commercial property developments and infrastructure projects on the go. Our client is now looking to bolster their property team and is recruiting a Senior Associate level lawyer to work with the partners on key transactions currently underway, as well as gear up for a solid pipeline of work.

In this role, you will see yourself involved with commercial property acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing and acting for local government in land acquisitions involving PWA. Overseas investment, property financing, development, subdivisions and unit title work will form part of the workload too. You'd work with domestic and international clients across many sectors, which include investors, developers, multi-national corporates, Government etc.

You'll have enough scope to take ownership of files and run them with autonomy where you feel comfortable. Culturally, the team is collaborative, and they look for those with initiative and want to do work to a high standard. Career development and work/life balance remain a priority for the partners of this firm without compromising on the quality of experience you'll gain.

About You
  • 6+ years PQE at a reputable law firm;
  • Property experience and some exposure/experience in commercial property transactions is essential as part of your overall background;
  • Interest in further developing your skills with a commercial mindset;
  • A good university academic record (B average or higher in your law papers is preferred).
Perhaps you are involved in some commercial property matters and would like more complexity and variance in the work you do? Or, maybe you’re returning from overseas and would like to join a full-service firm where you can be exposed to interesting commercial property work. Either way, get in touch to find out more about this position and whether this could be a good fit for you.
