Job description

About the firm

This is an opportunity to join a thriving city fringe suburban practice that represents a multi-generational client base including high net worth individuals, trustees and investors. This opportunity is for a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate level lawyer to join a firm that has an excellent reputation and is well-known for the high-quality service they provide.

The partners at this firm are true experts in their specialised fields of practice and are there to provide you with guidance and mentorship while allowing you to take file ownership and working with a good degree of independence. If you'd like to join a practice that does quality work while retaining a decent work/life balance, then enquire about this opportunity now.

About the role

This role requires you to be a specialist in trusts, estates and/or wealth, asset and inheritance planning work or a general practice lawyer that has done a good amount of this work over the years and is an area you perhaps would now like to specialise in. If you're a senior lawyer then you'll be able to work part-time, 4 days per week or at reduced hours.

Part of this role involves dealing with the changes to the Trusts Act 2019, amending trust deeds, working on structures / restructures and advising on trust aspects of relationship property and property matters.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • 4+ years' solid legal experience with a decent amount of trusts, and/or private client experience;
  • An ability to communicate well and build rapport with a range of private clients from different backgrounds and ages;
  • Sound drafting skills and the ability to provide advice in a clear and concise manner; and
  • Have a strategic and pragmatic outlook with a natural interest in solving problems by offering different points of view.
Whether you have a general practice legal background that includes trusts and estates experience and you're looking for a more specialised role or you already have specialist experience but would like to make the move closer to home with flexiblity in hours, get in touch with us to find out if this is the right role for you.
