Job description

You'll report to the Senior Settlement Specialist and collaborate with internal stakeholders, taking ownership of preparing, overseeing, and processing incoming settlements.
The Role:
As part of this high achieving team, you’ll play a hands on, technical role overseeing the end to end settlement process for both borrowers and investors. This includes supporting the end to end loan process, where you will prepare loan applications and complete preliminary credit checks. Alongside this you will assist customers with initial queries as well as liaise with in-house advisors and legal counsel. On the securities side, you will prepare and process loan and security discharges, maintain and update the securities platform, whilst delivering a high quality customer experience across all your interactions both internally and externally.
About You:
This role is well suited to a Legal Secretary or Legal Executive with experience in supporting a dedicated property or banking team within a law firm environment. We’re also keen to hear from candidates with a blend of in-house and private practice backgrounds, particularly those with exposure to subdivisions or property development projects.

- 3+ years’ experience as a registered Legal Executive within a similar role is essential, I am also interested in speaking to senior Legal Secretaries with a demonstrated property or financial services background
- Understanding and knowledge of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements as well as NZ Property Law, terms and methods in relation to conveyancing
- People focused, able to work in a cohesive and collaborative environment, keen to exceed expectations

- $80,000 - $100,000 + KiwiSaver, dependent on experience
- This is an on-site Monday to Friday role with one day WFH on offer
