This city fringe firm has an opening for a junior lawyer (1-2 years PQE) to focus on conveyancing and property work while developing their broader legal skills.

You'll be joining a small, supportive team made up of a Partner, an Associate, and a Legal Executive. The Partner is known for being approachable, pragmatic, and client-focused, while the team works closely together to deliver quality outcomes. This means you'll get plenty of guidance, exposure to interesting files, and the chance to learn from different perspectives.

• Day-to-day conveyancing and property matters with variety and responsibility
• Close mentoring from a Partner and Associate who are hands-on and invested in your growth
• Support from an experienced Legal Executive who knows the ins and outs of conveyancing
• Direct client contact and opportunities to build confidence early
• The chance to expand into private client work (trusts, estates, elder law)

What we’re looking for:

• NZ qualified and admitted lawyer
• Around 1 year of experience in a reputable firm
• Confident handling property law and conveyancing matters
• Collegial, reliable, and keen to contribute to a team environment
• Motivated to learn, grow, and take ownership of files
• Enjoys client contact and the variety that comes with property practice
