Senior Private Client Litigation Lawyer | Path to Partnership

Job description

Our client has an established and growing practice related to its dispute resolution work in the trusts, estates and relationship property areas and is now looking for someone that has leadership skills, to make their mark in this area and work in collaboration and with the support of partners and team members across the firm.

This role could appeal to you if you're a civil litigator but particularly enjoys disputes that relate to trusts, wealth protection, estates and RP and want to carve out a bit of a specialty for yourself in this area. Likewise, you may feel there's lack of room to progress in your current role and would like to find a firm where there aren't bottlenecks to progression.

What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll be working closely with high-net-worth clients, both locally and internationally, on some pretty interesting and complex matters that are litigated around trusts, estate and relationship property matters before ADR and court processes. There is a team of experts on the advisory side so when work becomes litigious you'd collaborate with them on files. There would be a partnership trajectory for someone in this role as a growing area within the firm with realistic expectations around hours and budgets.

What We’re Looking For:
  • NZ Qualified and admitted lawyer.
  • 7+ years PQE in private client litigation work including some disputes related to trusts, estates and RP.
  • Passion to inspire, guide & motivate others where you'll also be mentored to grow your leadership skills.
  • A knack for building strong relationships with clients of all wealth levels and generations.
  • Someone who’s ambitious but still values a supportive and collegial environment.
This firm has got a strong reputation, long standing clients and genuinely care about their people. You’ll be working on high quality matters but in a supportive, flexible environment that prioritises your wellbeing.
