Working within a mid-sized firm who is able to boast long tenure ships in their support teams due to the ongoing support and recognition they are offered throughout the firm.  

About the Role:
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to become more involved in the legal files they are working on and who has the ability to organise their current author's workflow. This role will give you exposure to supporting a larger team of fee earners that specialise in subdivision, commercial and farm related transactions. You will be involved in title searches and E-dealings, have exposure to finance-related work, and have the chance to develop your drafting skills with a robust system of precedents and templates to work from. On a day to day you will be responsible for:
  • Opening and managing client files
  • Dictation typing for authors. so a good typing speed is needed 
  • Liaise with internal and external departments (banks, agents, Council etc)
  • Completing title searches, E-dealings, and settlement statements
  • Compiling month-end billing for authors
  • Diary management
  • General office administration for colleagues as required
About You:
  • Minimum 1+ years as a legal secretary in a property team; or a legal receptionist who has assisted the property team from time time.
  • A proficient Excel user, as you will be working in large Excel sheets tracking and updating subdivision transactions and settlement days
  • A proactive approach and have the 'get up and go' required to complete tasks quickly and make the lives of the team easier;
  • Learning fast on the job, with good I.T. systems skills - having experience in running files from start to finish will stand you in good stead in this role.
  • Can communicate well and work across authors with different working styles
