The Firm & Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a reputable Central Auckland practice and grow your skillset within family law. You'll be a part of a close-knit team that do relationship property, care of child, PPPR, family violence, spousal maintenance and other related family law work. As part of the firm's litigation practice, if you had an interest in other dispute areas such as employment law and civil litigation, there is the opportunity to get exposure to work in these areas too.

This role will see you have a good level of involvement in files from the get go, with the support and mentorship of partners and other seniors in the team to learn from, allowing you to strengthen your advocacy skillset. 

About you

• 1+ years PQE experience in family law gained in either working for a family law barrister, a firm or you may have general practice legal experience with some relationship property experience and/or family law and now want to focus on this area;
• A relatable personality and able to exude empathy to deal with clients in tricky personal situations, working with a multi-generational client base.
• An interest to pursue a career in family law and litigation work.
