Step into a practice where you can fast track your career within a specialist team that has a focus on energy and infrastructure matters including renewable energy, solar and wind farming projects.

As a firm recognised for its natural affinity for success in both its people and practice, this is an opportunity to build on your experience and specialty in this area. The firm partners closely with its clients so you'll get to be immersed in your clients strategic plans and their projects from inception to conclusion.

The Culture

With a modern working style, you'll be a part of a firm that operates collaboratively as a team with scope for flexibility. You'll have the ability to work 1 day a week from home, extended holiday leave and the opportunity to take client/file ownership and responsibility with partner support. As a firm that breeds success, they are dedicated to providing training that supports your progression and ongoing development within the team.

About you:
  • 7+ years PQE with experience gained in corporate legal matters, energy and/or infrastructure related matters – whether gained in a firm, a relevant corporate in-house legal role or public sector body;
  • Good client relationship management and interpersonal skills;
  • NZ qualified; and
  • Energy sector specific experience would be desirable.
This is a unique opportunity in a growing industry that doesn't come by everyday. If you have gained experience in Australia and are considering a return to NZ, you'll be of interest as well. You may be an in-house lawyer interested in a move back to a firm that can provide you with a good support.

Location within NZ has some flexibility. Get in touch to find out if this is the role for you.
