Our client is a full-service law firm known for its high-quality work and exceptional client service. Their Corporate & Commercial team is expanding and they are now recruiting for a bright lawyer who has a keen interest in working as part of a busy and growing Corporate team.

The Role

Work under the mentorship of two Corporate Partners and a mix of junior and senior lawyers in the team, you'll be involved in medium-sized and larger-scale mergers & acquisitions work, advising on joint venture arrangements, management buy-out arrangements, corporate structuring, corporate governance, and providing strategic advice to growing businesses (e.g. capital raising, seed funding, private equity etc.) The client base is diverse and includes the likes of blue-chip companies, multi-nationals, start-up clients going through expansion and a mix of local privately held businesses.
  
You will be someone that has:  

• 2-5 years experience in a well-regarded corporate/commercial law team with recent private practice experience. Those with a mix of legal experience, with some commercial/corporate law experience may be of interest, as well as those coming from a Tax of Transactions Services team of a Big 4 Accounting firm.
• Good academics - at least a B average in your LLB; and
• Passionate about further developing a career in the corporate/commercial law field and learning from experts.    

Note: this is not a graduate position and you must have been admitted to the bar in NZ with some existing relevant experience to apply.
