The Role:
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator and is seeking a new challenge or perhaps a change of pace from private practice law. You’ll ideally have worked on contracts in the past and have a mind that enjoys commercial work.
Key responsibilities will include:
Our client is a well-known company with a great reputation that is located just outside the Christchurch CBD. About You:
We are looking for someone with 2+ years’ experience in a legal secretary or administration role, ideally with contracts experience. To be a good fit for this team you'll need to be a team player with good banter who likes to pitch in and have a laugh. You'll be commercially minded and interested in developing your legal career in an In-House environment.

- Filing annual returns
- Preparing Shareholder’s resolutions and Board resolutions
- Managing the signing of contracts and other documents by the Board of Directors
- Maintaining Company Registers and Statutory records
- Preparing documentation for, organising and taking minutes for meetings
- Maintaining the power of attorney register
- Administration relating to Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance Certificates
- Assisting with Lease documentation
- Coordinating travel requirements and preparing expense reports
- Managing incoming invoices and sending these for processing and payment
- General administrative assistance to the legal team as required
