Commercial Property Lawyer | 1-3 years PQE

Job description

About the opportunity

We are working with a firm that holds a strong reputation in the legal market for its work, culture and practices. Our client punches above its weight when it comes to property work, so this role is for a good junior or intermediate level lawyer keen to take a step up in responsibility and being a part of a collaborative close-knit team.

Your day-to-day will involve matters relating to:
  • Residential and commercial property transactions
  • Complex leasing portfolio work acting for some major landlords
  • Assisting in subdivisions and property development matters - residential and commercial developments
  • Unit titles
  • Local and overseas investments
  • Advising on company structuring and asset protection matters
  • Attending meetings with partners and seniors and managing client relationships on more simple matters
About you
  • 1+ years NZ practising legal experience in property and/or commercial law. You might come from a smaller general practice firm and want to take a step up in the complexity of your work or get a greater mix of commercial legal work. Likewise, you might be at a top tier firm and want better hands on work to grow.
  • Good interpersonal and client relationship skills.
  • A decent academic record. Must have a B average or higher in LLB.
  • NZ qualified lawyer with private practice experience.
NOTE: fresh graduates will not be considered suitable for this role.
