The opportunity:

Our client is a progressive Central Auckland practice that is looking to hire an ambitious junior in the team. The work will have a broad commercial law focus - both transactional and advisory work involved. The firm's culture is supportive, social and very much team based. 

Day to day you will be involved in business transactions, M&A deals, joint ventures, limited partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, share transfer transactions, commercial leasing arrangements, residential and commercial property transactions, franchising matters, construction contracts and financing arrangements. 

The firm has a good reputation in the market for providing high-quality legal services to property developers, charitable trusts, commercial sector clients and every day individuals. With more than enough legal support, good systems in place and approachable partners, you’ll be well-placed to develop your legal skills in a reputable firm. 

You will be someone that has:  

• Completed your LLB already, with decent law grades (B average or above) in NZ;
• Completed your Professional Legal Studies and ideally already admitted to the bar;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• A keen interest in developing a commercial legal career; and
• Ideally gained some relevant experience in a law firm environment in transactional work.

Note: those that have yet to complete their LLB will not be suitable for this role. You must be a NZ citizen or a NZ Perm Resident to apply.
