Job description

This industry leading Auckland Law firm is currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary in either commercial property, corporate or banking and finance, they are also open to considering Legal Secretaries looking for their first Legal Exec role or a first year Legal Exec looking to transition out of residential conveyancing. You will be an integral member of a high-performing and deadline driven team that strives to deliver beyond expectations for its authors. About the Role:

Supporting the Partner and the wider Banking and Finance team, you will be assisting in all general secretarial duties as well as liaising with internal stakeholders and answering general enquiries from clients.
This may include:
  • Preparing documentation including loan and other financing documents, reports, statements and presentations
  • Document and file management within the dedicated system
  • Preparing end of month billing for final review 
  • Transcribing digital dictation 
About You:
  • Previous law firm experience is preferred for this role as you will need to have an understanding of managing Partners' expectations and working with multiple conflicting deadlines
  • A confident user of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Previous Corporate or Banking and Finance experience would be advantageous, however, we are keen to speak to candidates from all legal sectors that are interested in broadening their experience
  • Be a team player that is driven to exceed expectations and go above and beyond to ensure your team is set up for success
  • Organised and methodical in your working style, with an approachable and open communication style
This role will ideally suit someone who is proactive, able to use their initiative and is eager to partner with the Partners in managing their calendars and emails for them to maximise their time and outputs.

  • A starting salary of $75,000 - $75,000 + Kiwisaver dependent on experience

  • This is a onsite role Monday to Friday, however there is flexibility around commute times
