The firm has a well established clientele of private and public sector entities, including FMCG, Telecommunication, Aviation, Energy and Financial regulation clients amongst other major corporates in other sectors. Working in a well supported team, the role would work across a wide range of competition law and regulatory advisory and litigation work related to:  

• M&A and Joint venture appeals;
• Price fixing and Cartels;
• Consumer law and Fair Trading Act matters. 

The team is collaborative and operates with a strong social dynamic, with approachable Partners and decent flexible working options for staff. They have a couple of larger projects in the pipeline that you'd be able to get involved in.

About you: 

• 7+ years legal experience in a well regarded practice or relevant in-house legal role. You may have gained xperience in a competition law team overseas and looking to move back to NZ, or in a corporate or litigation team where you've had some exposure / experience to this area and would now like to specialise;
• Demonstrable interest in competition law and developing your career in this unique and interesting area of the law. 
• An understanding of the Commerce Act and FTA
• A decent academic transcript with at least a B average or higher.
