We have an unique opportunity for a Senior General Practice Lawyer to join a well-respected East Auckland based firm that has strong support systems and infrastructure in place. There is a business case to add to the partnership headcount for succession planning reasons and this is an opportunity to work with an established clientele where you'll be supported to cultivate your own clientele as well. 

Solid experience in some (but  not all) of the following areas is needed:

• Property Law: Provide expert legal advice to clients on residential and commercial property transactions, including conveyancing, leasing, and subdivisions. 
• Trusts & Estates: Offer legal advice on trust structuring matters, estate planning includes drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and providing advice on personal affairs.
• Relationship Property: Drafting and advising on contracting out agreements and asset protection measures.
• Commercial Law: Advise on commercial matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, business transactions, company structuring matters and shareholder agreements. 
• Client Engagement: Deliver clear and concise written and oral legal advice, building strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Business Development: Participate in marketing and business development activities, attending relevant meetings and events to contribute to the firm's growth.

About You:  

• 7+ year PQE NZ qualified lawyer with NZ private practice legal experience.
• Solid experience in some transactional and advisory property and private client matters. 
• A confident communicator, with leadership skills and the ability to help mentor junior staff members. 
• A business mind-set and someone who enjoys developing and maintaining strong client relationships. 
• An interest in pursuing a role with partnership progression.
