Job description
About the firm
We are working with a well-established team that is looking to hire a Senior Associate or Special Counsel level resource management and environment planning lawyer, to provide support to the partners as their 21C. Whether you're looking for greater advocacy work, autonomy or you are considering a move to a better team culture environment, this could be a good option for you. As part of a national and full service practice, you'll be able to draw on the expertise of other lawyers where needed. The firm takes a values based approach, rather than working based on strict billing targets, and this encourages collaboration within the team.
About the role
The role involves working on land development and infrastructure related projects for both private and public sector organisations, as well as working with developers on residential development projects. You'll work on a range of issues including urban development, waste water and water treatment issues, policy and legislative change advice, resource consenting, judicial review work and acting as a strategic advisor to the clients you'd represent.
You'd assist with mentoring juniors and help prepare for Environment Court hearings on some larger-scale disputes as well as more day to day advice to the clients they work with.
About you
If you require flexibility or part time hours, that could be considered. There is potential to consider someone outside of Auckland.
Get in touch with us to learn more about this excellent opportunity.
