The Practice Manager is essential in ensuring the firm runs in the most efficient way possible, allowing lawyers to focus on servicing their clients.  This role champions people and opportunities to improve and make full use of excellent organisation, communication and technology skills.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a highly competent practice manager to manage its growing law firm, support the directors operationally, and lead the administrative team.  The Practice Manager is a positive presence within the firm and has a particular focus on people, culture, development and success. 
Working closely with the external accountant to deliver financial and management reporting as well as financial modelling you will be able to influence strong business decision making on financial interpretations. Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:
  • Overseeing general HR and recruitment procedures as well as ensuring best practice is adhered too
  • Induction and onboarding as well as updating HR policies as needed
  • Overseeing and assisting its IT integration, updates, and implementation with the third party provider
  • Liaising with the Law Society and Courts Registry where needed and helping the team keep on track with its cases
  • Overseeing business development, assisting with RFP processes when needed
  • Assisting in project implementation and execution e.g. new website 
  • General office and property management related matters
About You:
  • Previous work experience as a Practice Manager/Office Manager within a law firm is a strong preference. A working knowledge of Infinity would be advantageous
  • Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and HR initiatives
  • Client focused, keen to exceed expectations, and go above and beyond for the firm's clients
  • A leader that is able to mentor, build rapport, and trust within a widespread team environment with ease.
  • Committed to providing efficient and effective support to a high performing firm
  • Able to process end of month financial statements (being a CA is not needed as there is an external accountant but an understanding of numbers is advantageous)
