Job description

The Opportunity

Rare opportunity to join a leading IP specialist team and work with a top quality clientele. Due to growth they now looking for an intermediate level lawyer who is keen to accelerate their career within IP law and get exposure to a mix of Trade Mark, Copyright, Licensing, Consumer Law and Commercial IP focussed work that will provide some exposure to tech law matters too.

This is a multi-faceted IP lawyer opportunity where you'll assist a range of businesses on identifying, protecting and commercialising opportunities, as well as providing branding advice and working on some tech-related matters. The firm deals with both advisory and contentious work and you'll have hands on exposure to files and client contact, being a part of a supportive team environment where there is room for you to grow. It's a flat structure and a fun environment, where staff don't themselves too seriously but still deliver quality work to a high standard. You'd have direct mentorship from a partner and plenty of support from other lawyers in the team.

About you:
  • 2+ years PQE in a commercial legal role, gained in a reputable practice. IP experience is not essential but it would be preferred if you had some exposure to this area or a demonstrable interest;
  • A strong interest in IP law and developing your career in this space;
  • Commercial acumen;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • A decent academic record of B average or higher.
You may be working in a different area of law looking to make the transition into the IP space or have had some experience to IP work and be looking to join a leading practice with a great culture also. Either way, get in touch to find out more.
