Joining an experienced team you will have the opportunity to work across a blend of private client and legal aid work involving relationship property, care of child, family violence, PPPR and other family law-related matters working under the mentorship of a highly regarded specialist partner. Operating with a flat structure, you will have the ability to take ownership of files from start to end with the support of the partner and others in the team, allowing you to further strengthen your advocacy skillset.

About you

• 3+ years PQE experience in family law gained in either working for a family law barrister, in a specialist family law team or you may have  general practice legal experience with some relationship property experience and/or family law and now want to focus on this area;
• Experience in drafting Section 21 Agreements (e.g. Contracting Out Agreements) would be an advantage; and
• A relatable personality and able to exude empathy to deal with clients in tricky personal situations, working with a multi-generational client base.

You may be working in a general practice role looking to hone in on family law or doing legal aid family law work or you could be a family lawyer looking for an opportunity to a part of a progressive team where there is scope for future advancement.
