The Opportunity
This is an exciting in-house legal role for a pragmatic and commercially minded intermediate level corporate and commercial lawyer. Working with a Senior Legal Counsel and an experienced Commercial Manager, you will be providing advice and support to various business units including Sales, Finance, Head Office and the Regional Management team. 
This is a varied commercial law role that will involve:
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements such as Sales Contracts, Commercial Leases and Contractor Agreements. 
  • Corporate support and advice to internal and external stakeholders and managing those relationships.
  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining a suite of legal precedents, to be updated with regulatory change or other changes affecting the business.
  • Providing risk based and strategic advice to the business and guidance on any potential claims. 
  • Liaising with external counsel where needed.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • 2-4/5 years PQE as a corporate and commercial lawyer (your commercial law experience may be mixed with experience gained in other areas of the law)
  • Experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • A client focused approach to your work
  • Commercially minded with an interest in developing your business acumen
  • A drive to learn and grow in a new role
