The Growth Opportunity:

• This would suit a more Senior level lawyer (7+ years) looking to contribute to practice growth and building and expanding the firm's Christchurch presence. An opportunity to lead client relationships, do business development and work with international clients including foreign investors and large corporates. Room for your own progression here and being supported with that. 

The Development Opportunity:

• This would suit a lawyer at Solicitor / Senior Solicitor level seeking broader exposure to corporate legal work. Work with long-standing national clients across agribusiness, F&B, transport, manufacturing, tech and other business owners. Hands on training and great career development provided. 

The Top-Tier Transactional Opportunity:

• This role would suit a transactional lawyer at 5 years+ PQE wanting exposure to New Zealand's largest deals, infrastructure and energy projects, PPPs and major national projects. Work with energy companies, banks and international corporates. You'll be someone who enjoys transactions rather than advisory work and wants national-profile deals while enjoying the lifestyle Christchurch has to offer. 

The broad Corporate & Commercial legal role:

• This role would suit someone from 3 years+ PQE wanting broad corporate/commercial work with exposure to some banking and finance work too. Work across capital raising, corporate advisory and governance work with SMEs, investors and multinational businesses. The firm has long-standing client relationships in the South Island across across agribusiness, tourism, infrastructure and property. 

For all of these opportunities, you'll be someone who has:

• Experience advising clients on a range of transactional and advisory matters - whether large or small
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to legal advice
• The ability to build trusted client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a high-performing team
