A forward-thinking Shore based practice are now looking for an intermediate level lawyer with the ambition of fast tracking their experience within corporate and commercial law. Joining a team of M&A / corporate specialist senior lawyers with a portfolio of SME's, NZX listed companies, multinationals and start up businesses you will play a key role in assisting in files across their growing corporate and commercial team. 

Day to day you will be involved in a mix of transactional, drafting and advisory work on M&A transactions, joint venture and management buy-out arrangements, corporate structuring and providing strategic advice to growing businesses (e.g. capital raising, seed funding and private equity). If you're looking for greater client contact or end to end exposure on files, then this would be an opportunity worth considering. You will be someone that has:  

• 2+ years experience in a well-regarded corporate/commercial law team (recent private practice experience is preferred although you may come from an in-house legal background or a mixed property and commercial law background where you now want to hone your skills in corporate / commercial law);
• Good communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• Passionate about further developing a career in the corporate/commercial law field and learning from experts.
