Construction Lawyer | Senior

Job description

Our client is a reputable full service firm with a well established construction practice that handles a mix of structuring, transactional and commercial contracting work for projects as well as dispute resolution work and resolving construction related issues. They are looking to hire a senior level lawyer with experience in front end and/or back end construction matters, to work on construction developments, large scale infrastructure projects, procurement and tender arrangements, joint venture agreements, and risk mitigation and dispute resolution matters.

The team is led by expert partners in the construction sector where you'll work as their 2IC and there'll be room for growth in the role. While the team handles a blend of front-end and disputes work, there is the opportunity to do a blend of work that suits your background and interests.

Flex and part time options possible.

About you:
  • 7+ years solid PQE in construction and infrastructure matters (those that have gained relevant in-house experience are of interest too);
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to advise strategically;
  • Experience gained in a reputable firm and/or organisation; and
  • NZ qualified lawyer.
You may have reached a bottleneck in terms of progression and would like to explore a role that will allow you to take a step-up in terms of progression and responsibility or you may be someone returning from overseas having gained major projects or construction disputes experience, looking for a team that does quality work upon your return. Whichever the case, enquire now to find out more about this unique opportunity.
