Job description

The property market continues to boom and there are a number of interesting commercial property developments and infrastructure projects on the go. Our client is now looking to bolster their property team and is recruiting a Senior Solicitor or Associate level lawyer to work with the partners on key transactions currently underway, as well as gear up for a solid pipeline of work.

In this role, you will see yourself involved with high-level commercial property transactions for blue-chip, investors and local government clients. The mix of industry sectors that the team works in is second to none with a track record of work in the education, energy, healthcare, infrastructure development, retail and manufacturing sectors to name a few.

Day-to-day you would work on complex commercial property acquisitions and disposals, due diligence for development projects, commercial leasing, property finance work and overseas investment matters. You'll have mentorship in this role but with more than enough scope to take ownership of files and run them with autonomy where you feel comfortable. Culturally, the team is collaborative, and they look for those with initiative and want to do work to a high standard. Career development and work/life balance remain a priority for the partners of this firm without compromising on the quality of experience you'll gain.
About You
  • 5-8 years PQE at a reputable law firm;
  • Property experience and some exposure/experience in commercial property transactions is essential as part of your overall background;
  • Interest in further developing your skills with a commercial mindset;
  • A good university academic record (B average or higher in your law papers is preferred).
Perhaps you are involved in some commercial property matters and would like more complexity and variance in the work you do? Or, maybe you’re returning from overseas and would like to join a full-service firm where you can be exposed to interesting commercial property work. Either way, get in touch to find out more about this position and whether this could be a good fit for you.
