The Role:

Reporting to the National BD Manager and liaising with Partners across various practice areas, you will be an integral part of the overall Bidding team as well as liaising with marketing and other internal departments to drive the firm's business development strategy forward. You will be supported by an admin team of graphics designers and coordinators, however, on a day to day you will be responsible for:
  • Tender management, able to lead tenders and capability statements, including advising on strategies and content writing of each bid/pitch, getting the information from each team as needed
  • Submissions for relevant Directories e.g. Asia Pacific Legal
  • Coach and facilitate training to Partners and senior lawyers on sales skills for specific clients and profiling opportunities 
  • Sales management as well as Business Development analysis and planning, working alongside partners to drive the firm's client growth and priority sector programme
  • Building the business development confidence and skill sets across teams
  • Developing and implementing integrated growth strategies, projects, and new initiatives
About You:
  • 4+ years experience within a Business Development Manager or Bid Manager role, ideally with some experience within the legal sector but otherwise from another professional services practice or construction industry
  • Previous experience with development management of a key client programme, management, and operation of a bid support function
  • Able to take ownership of a sales pipeline of opportunities, and oversee a sales training programme
  • Good interpersonal skills, a professional approach as you will be liaising with the Senior leadership team and top priority client portfolios
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • $90,000 - $110,000 + kiwisaver (experience dependant)

  • Flexi hours and ability to work from home or remote options available (must be able to commit to 2 days in the office per week)
