Based in the stunning leafy suburbs that surround the CBD, this well established multi faceted law firm offers a range of legal services to private clients and small medium sized businesses. About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Directors and Practice Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the firm while assisting the Trust Accountant with the management of a high volume trust account.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well established law firm in a newly created Assistant Practice Manager position, designed as a long term succession pathway. Over time, the role will evolve into a full time position, with increasing exposure to the strategic, operational, and commercial aspects of practice management as you work alongside and learn from an experienced Practice Manager ahead of their planned retirement.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate key operational functions including IT, facilities, supplier relationships, systems management, and staff induction processes.
  • Assist with trust account administration, end of month billing processes, credit control, and Law Society for audit requirements.
  • Manage the firm's AML compliance processes, including risk assessments, compliance programme updates, audits, annual reporting, and regulatory filings.
  • Support, coach and advise the Directors and staff on any recently updated AML obligations, maintaining registers, and ensuring ongoing compliance.
About You:
  • Previous work experience as a Senior Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator within a law firm is required 
  • Previous experience in Actionstep and Xero would be advantageous 
  • Client focused, keen to exceed expectations, and go above and beyond for the firm's clients
